I have worked as a teacher in a private College in Germany and can assure this: One is meeting students in the sixth semester who have not the faintest Idea, how to write an Essay with correct scientific quotations

@cwilcke @Natasha_Jay About 25 years ago one of our a 3rd year college students in California could not read. Literally could not translate letters into words.

@rrb @cwilcke @Natasha_Jay but how smart were they. Dyslexia is not a reason not to be at university?

@Natasha_Jay People need to remember that what we are calling AI is just a fancy grep, but for texts instead of characters. A useful tool if used correctly, for transforming existing texts, apparently semantically, but not intelligent.
