i think it's pretty lovely that hitachi called their microcomputer "H8"

my guess is that engineers came up with it, though i have no idea how did they persuade the marketing dept

@lkundrak Marketing is superstitious, not that hard to actually convince them. Like SLES skipped version 13 (unlucky at one part of the globe), 14 (containing 4, unlucky for another part of the globe).
