@corbet A lot of the design decisions of the OpenWrt One make sense when you think of it as "openwrt devel board"; for instance, some have said that having separate devices for wifi and routing would be better, but managing built-in wifi in the router is very important for openwrt. Given that, I always found it baffling that the OpenWrt One doesn't have a built-in switch, to help developing and testing the code which manages these built-in switches. This proposal does include a built-in switch.
