Thanks in part to @timbray and his investigations, I have replaced a massive space heater called a "Class A audio amplifier" with a tiny Class D whose cost is proportional to its volume, and am very pleased. So much space restored in the cabinet, so much wasted energy recovered, and to my aged ears no diminution in quality. 5 stars.

The tech in these TI chips was invented in Denmark, so we heard about them long time ago.

I swapped my beloved Tandberg TPA-3006a out for one of these beasts many years ago, and never looked back.

Speakers: Rauna Njord - not the easiest task for the amplifier.

@robpike @timbray speaking of aged ears, one of the ironies in all of this is finally being able to afford a decent audio system after decades of work only to realize your ears are now kind of crap.
