It's that time of the year again when I try to get to Berlin from Edinburgh for #ASG and DeutscheBahn goes like: ahah, as if.
But first, onto the ding ding wagon
Onward to London on this red boi. Here's to hoping for the Scottish full breakfast being on!
Narrator: the full breakkie was on 🙂
Narrator: but it was a full english 🙃
In London perfectly on time, and now for the huge and unnecessary queue for the #Eurostar which solely exists due to the pathological need for performative cruelty by the Home Office. "Yes let's have these huge 20 carriages trains with two doors each and then make everyone board in a single line via single choke point" said nobody clever, ever
@bluca I'm conflicted, every time I'm at pancras for eurostar I get the perfect demonstration of how good the British are at queueing.
Onto the big blue wobble wobble wagon. Connection time in midi is short, so CHOP CHOP
@daandemeyer they could just add a voluntary queue to the side, for those wanting to show off
Arrived on time, and made the connection. Now I am in the hands of DeutscheBahn, send trouts and pears...
Of course we are delayed by 15 minutes so far, and of course that is about to get longer because border police got on the train to check passports as we entered in Germany, because I guess they hadn't heard about #Schengen yet - it's fairly new stuff so totally understandable /s
Made it to Koln, late but enough time for the next connection. Hello there, Dom!
Crossing all fingers, this chonko is the last leg, to Berlin. It arrived, so there's that.
Made it to Berlin, only 45 minutes later! Yay! See you tomorrow at #ASG
@jmorris ah yes that well-known international border between er, occitaine and ile de france, of course
