@n8dmt ugh on the spurs. That is why I looked for a linear PSU for home use. Not so great for portable but I did not want those spurs!

@n8dmt Thanks for mentioning that about the Delta2. I was considering purchasing one.

I hope you'll hear something on 6m today.

@kr1st TBH, I need to get out portable spectrum analyzer / probe and verify it is actually the Delta2 that is emitting on 2m when off. Have it on a charging timer for 2 hours in the morning a couple of days a week, so it was off for yesterday’s 2m RX period. Timer clicked on this morning to charge and then I noticed spurs were gone on 2m. Checked later after timer shut off and 2m spurs were back. Will investigate further later today… (I like my Delta2!)

@va3db Ditto here for most stuff. Have a Powerwerx SPS-30DM 12v supply that is amazingly clean. Have looked and never found conducted or radiated spurious from it… Sadly not true for many other switchers used in home or shack. TNX & 73

@kr1st Finished work for the AM and had chance to chase EMI. Didn’t need test equipment, just tuned 705 to 2m Ft8 freq and plugged in / unplugged a few things in the office/shack. Turns out it was not the Delta2, instead it was a 32” Sharp TV used for a 2’nd monitor on the work laptop. When on it is clean up at 2m, but when turned off it has repeating blobs of switching noise throughout the 2m band (and falling close to / on-top-of the 144.174 FT8 frequency).

@n8dmt Thanks for doing that! It's good to know it's not the Delta2 that is the problem. Those are very nice to have.

@va3db @n8dmt FWIW, I have had good RF experiences with the Samlex units made for radios, and MeanWell modular units for use inside project boxes.
