After weeks of hesitation, I finally pushed the submit button on a session proposal for the Open Source Summit Europe. Those who know me will be surprised I selected the "Open AI & Data" track. You may be less surprised to hear that the session will be a BoF titled "How we can resist generative AI".

I'm curious to see if the proposal will be accepted, and if there's a significant enough interest from the community. If you have any feedback, please don't hesitate to share it.

@pinchartl I did not plan to attend OSSE this year, but FWIW, the topic feels worth discussing, so I would go to your session if I were there :)

@pinchartl given the AI marketing I've seen at the last couple summits I've attended, I think this is a much needed session to offer some balance, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't get accepted. Fingers crossed for you!

@petejohanson If it gets rejected, maybe we can host a BoF in the hallway, or even in the street in front of the building in the true spirit of protests :)

Today the Linux Foundation Event Team notified me that my talk proposal was not accepted. The past few weeks showed me that giving a voice to minorities who are afraid of speaking out is important, so I will think of a plan B.
