Today in 1992, 33 years ago: The Federal Assembly of Czechoslovakia votes to split the country into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with effect from January 1, 1993.

@onthisday Split of Czechoslovakia was good. Meciar ended up on the other side of border. Fico is on the other side of border, and that is good, too. [If he tries to come here, I believe there will be big meeting of people telling him how welcome he is.] Now, if we only could return Babis to the right side of border. And Okamura, too.
