"dawless" by buying Octatrack is sort of well "if you want to believe" ;-) If I wanted a dedicated hardware sequencer, I'd pick https://www.a600gs.com/a600-gs/ instead. It's the only way to acquire Octamed 8 and A600GS is pretty good unit for that use and purpose.
