I have most of my personal digital life at my Google account now, and also my personal AI subscription. It is response to the changes in the current security space. Very few have capability to respond to that challenge, and Google is one of those few.

Your zero-knowledge super secure email might protect you from the provider but can they protect their infrastructure from outside threats?

LLM threats make being exposed to Internet at scale ridiculously costly too.

Google is a fairly balanced and secure ecosystem. I'm one of those pragmatists who think that if something works and does its job well, it should be used.

@cp8a This true plus probably they have the most professional SRE staff in the world. They are likely better shielded than many national security agencies.

That's true. But the fundamentalism on the internet, mixed with ideologies, insists on demonizing software. I wonder what the business is of those who insist on telling others what to use and what not to use. I'm one of those old dinosaurs in my sixties who saw many technologies born.
