sometimes the lack of backbone in politics is offensive

the Swiss legal system is extremely binary, and a year ago the fed gov decided to not bother with a third gender marker because it would break too many laws

now parliament is discussing protection of intersex babies and decided to offload fixing that to medical societies. despite that the underlying issue is a strictly enforced binary in the law with no recognition or protection for people not fitting in, which doctors obviously can't fix

@sima Private companies should start the effort, as well. I think gender neutral forms would be a good start.

@sima Which sounds like religion declaration in Switzerland, where atheism is put in the "Not known" section.
