@LaF0rge beautifully engineered. It's a shame it's not economically viable to manufacture most devices at this level of quality now. I'm always blown away when I open up old Tektronix or HP test gear, which was typically also aircraft rated.

@abraxas3d e.g., for ARQ there is STANAG 5066, which looks horrendously complex, but I wonder if some useful subset of that could be extracted. There’s an open source project which seems abandoned ? https://github.com/Rhizomatica/open5066

Made some millimeter waves today, presumably at 47.088 GHz. Using a Kuhne synth at 11.772 GHz into a WA1MBA quadrupler. I’m able to detect power in this band (6mm), but not frequency (yet). #microwave #mmwave #hamradio #amateurradio.

@abraxas3d Thanks for all the work you do! One of the participants made a good point that this may lead to more experimentation -- hoping to see an open high speed digital waveform for HF one day. The STANAG/M110A waveforms may be one possible direction. I have a few simple ideas but not enough time... as always.

Ran a full disk threat scan on my Mac with MS Defender ($work requires it), and it found my archive of Linux malware from 1997, and wants to delete it :(

@mcdanlj I’ve tried a YG-1 spiral flute tap here now and it is working well. It seems to need much lower torque than regular or form taps. I think the form tap is more precise and will provide more strength, but this is not critical in my application.
