The 4.9.y kernel is finally end-of-life, it is gone from the tracking board.

@gregkh Okay so that's what people use a for...

Personally, I like those flap-segment displays...

Would love to see one with all the characters in them and sized 80x25

Cuz that would be a cool flappy board...

@kkarhan Yes, a full 80x25 flip-board would be wonderful, but I'm happy with this one as-is for now, just have to be more creative in the character use.

And of course, it's running Linux, which is always nice to see :)

@gregkh can't help but notice that 6.1.x isn't blue yet. Will it be after 6.2.1 or 6.3.1 is out ?

@aissen Will hopefully know by 6.2.1 timeframe, but am not sure yet, still have known regressions in 6.1.y that are not resolved :(

@never_released They have had 6 years to plan for this, it is not like this is a surprise. If it is, you need to not use those HW vendors at all as they have no idea what they are doing...

@gregkh funny thing:

NVIDIA definitely knows better but still did just that for the Jetson Nano. They still sell them as new despite them being stuck on Linux 4.9 w/ the vendor stack...

@gregkh where did you got that board ? πŸ‘€

@gregkh so you actually jailbroke it so you can actually use it?

@alexibexi tried it and it took that king > 3 mins to show the correct track that's being played...

At that rate you might just be faster manually arranging letters on a board like in a church...

@gregkh hello Sir Greg Kroah-Hartman. Very glad you are at Mastodon. Thank you for everything and all you do for the Linux kernel. I am a Linux user from Indonesia. Greetings!

PS: seeing your profile, I am surprised that now even kernel.org has a Fediverse instance. That's impressive.
