@monsieuricon You should not have to jump through hoops just to answer emails.
@django @monsieuricon email is just as secure as web sites these days. They're both protected by SSL and email these days is delivered from origin to end destination normally.
What they lose is not security but control. They don't know who you share your email password with or how long you keep things in your email or where you save your emails.
But of course these things are all true with their web site too. And they'll happily use email for password resets so...
@django @monsieuricon IT security has become just an exercise in CYA and least common denominator "best practices" instead of any sincere effort to improve security or advance the state of the art
@monsieuricon the email is so generic that I would easy throw it away as phishing. Some companies never learn that "login here" is how vast majority of people get scammed
