mjg59@nondeterministic.computerOk I checked with a neuroscientist friend at the conference and she points out it plausibly means sticking human neurons in animal models and that makes far more senae

azonenberg@ioc.exchange@mjg59 There have been a bunch of research projects lately with human neurons in e.g. rats demonstrating that they can fuse with the rat brain, detect signals from the rat's body, and generally be studied in a much more realistic environment than a petri dish.
