@haeckerfelix Using Big Buck Bunny for video previews should be forbidden by law.
This video is overused. There are people who can pinpoint screenshot to exact frame.
@hrw @haeckerfelix You mean the every-possible-audience-friendly, 4k, 60fps Big Buck Bunny, with the extremely permissable license about when and how it can be used?
Ironically, lots of other good candidates are more legally locked down, and the Venn diagram of "light-hearted and bright", "Open-source film", and "demos hw acceleration" is basically... Big Buck Bunny.
@xethos @haeckerfelix At some point you can pinpoint to which frame of BBB is on screenshot. So much this video is used.
I remember trade show where people from one stand went to opposite one and asked to remove BBB from playlist as they knew each frame of it already.
Blender Foundation release videos under open license every year iirc. So there are several options to choose from.
@hrw @haeckerfelix You can't fight the Bunny. You must embrace the Bunny.
@pavel @haeckerfelix @hrw Seems at least other Blender films also uses CC licenses, like Spring:
