Hey everyone - does anyone know if it is possible to run a local shell script via a chrome extension?

I want to pass the url of all web sites I visit to a script running on my local machine which will parse the domain and run an audit on the site.

I have already written the audit script but I have never written a chrome extension so not sure if it is possible to run a local script from within an extension.

Currently I run the audit script manually but want to automate.

@thatprivacyguy One possible solution would be to start a local proxy and make chromium use that...

@pavel yeah that was one of the options I considered but I would rather do less than more ;)
