@jbzfn @Reuters Wait, 3 years vendor support? That means they rely on community support afterwards. So, does it boot with an unmodified upstream kernel?

@ptesarik @jbzfn @Reuters Working well with unmodified mainline kernel is unlikely for random phone from the news. The list of such devices is rather short... "Booting with serial support" would be longer list, but.. :-).

I want to cool down the optimism: Even if your hardware can now be repaired, you don't want to run no-longer-updated system But if EOL is scheduled 3 years from launch (not purchase!), what's the point of replacing the battery? That shouldn't be needed earlier…
