Got indoor bicycle. Made it emulate mouse button press with rotation of the pedals. Now looking for some kind of software / game / training tool to work with this...

@pavel just bind it to the scrollwheel and bike your way through the mastodon feed :D

@martijnbraam :-) My idea was to tie it to video playback, and play video at speed corresponding to "bike" speed. That would give virtual ride with right video (and motivation to keep going with others).

@pavel @martijnbraam if you bind the pedal to ".", will show one frame of video for each rotation. You'd have to pedal pretty fast to reach normal playback speeds like that though blobfoxdizzy

@papiris @martijnbraam Yep so.... that was rather easy to do, and I have implementation of "pedal to playback video" at https://gitlab.com/tui/tui/-/tree/master/freewheel?ref_type=heads . Its not entirely satisfyling as it makes you pedal at constant speed.

@pavel @papiris heh you can also hook it up to TC to make it change your available network bandwith based on pedal speed :D

@martijnbraam @papiris You don't want to know what kind of connection this particular box has :-). I did not have ethernet in the room, so I reused some very, very old hardware. Anyway, browsing while pedaling is not really convenient; watching videos is, as is simple gaming. Still looking for game that would be suitable for bike support.
