The worst part of my System76 Lemur laptop is the horrendously poor design of the arrow keys. You will notice how PgUp and PgDn are immediately adjacent to the left and right arrow key, but they are also identical to the touch, so whenever I have to edit something that's not in vim, I end up jumping to some random part of the page half the time.

Yes, I have now remapped them to be arrow keys as well, but I really shouldn't have to do that. 😤

@monsieuricon Laptops should have full-size arrow keys, especially when aimed at enthusiasts.

@monsieuricon blobcatfacepalm even after all these years we still don't have sane defaults for keyboard layouts on laptops. I personally alway click \ key above enter key on my lenovo device

@monsieuricon same happens to me with my Dell XPS 9380, most annoying thing of the entire laptop by far.

Next time I'm going to buy a laptop I'll definitely check...

@mariinkys I feel your pain. Just in case someone is wondering how to remap keys under wayland, you should use input-remapper.

@monsieuricon good to know these still exist, I was looking for laptops with physical PgUp/PgDn keys and most seem to have stopped making them entirely. Pretty much the only other new one that still has them is the HP Elitebook 8xx G10, or older Dell Latitude ones.

My Macbook Air is probably the worst combination, rather than having full sized arrow keys they actually leave the space free where PgUp/PgDn should go.
