Really curious about this one thing. When you mistype or mis-swipe your mobile phone unlock code, do you
a) backspace furiously
b) keep going, w/ the idea that it's faster just to fsck up once
@briankrebs you should see how many times I hit "backspace" when I think I mistyped a character after invoking sudo. I'm surprised the key hasn't worn out.
@briankrebs tbh I don't normally know until it doesn't work
@briankrebs Phone: keep going
Physical keyboard: backspace baby
@briankrebs Either some people are doing both or Mastodon is bad at math.
@briankrebs Keep Going To Fail! A new T-shirt has landed!
@georgebaily haha. say, that would make an okay band name.
I'm not going to say which way I lean here, but I will say the question resonates with me because my music teacher says you should never allow yourself to play wrong notes. Which seems like an infuriatingly obvious thing to say -- and it is that -- but it's also probably correct.
@briankrebs I have visions of your music teacher, performing in an orchestra that's trying to follow the conductor, while your teacher goes back and repeats the phrase they flubbed up.
@geoffduncan yes. I should have been more clear with the context, which was trying to play sheet music.
@briankrebs I keep going a word or two to see if autocorrect fixes or ducks it upβ¦. Then I backspace furiously.
Only one hour to go. And remember, this is for posterity. So, be honest.
@briankrebs why does the result add up to 102% for me
@briankrebs to everyone asking about maths, certain apps will allow a user to vote multiple times, donβt ask me why, but check the user v voter count.
@WorMP3 it's a good thing we're not using this for elections! :)
@L2actual @briankrebs That's because it was a multi-choice poll, actually π
That might explain it alright @golemwire π ... But this now begs the question, what kind of person would have selected BOTH responses??? π€―π΅βπ«
