That cannot be safe

@klausman @phoenix No, it looks good to me without WAGO. Just leave the left side empty and put a cover on it. With no contact, there's no electric shock hazard.

@klausman @phoenix If the two open wires touch, that's safe. We've got circuit-breakers for that. The only risk is if somebody touches the live wire (brown). And yes, of course, leaving open wires anywhere is a big no-no. I assume everybody here understands that.

@ptesarik @klausman Don't listen to Petr. (This is professional advice 😜)

@ptesarik @klausman @phoenix No, touching two wires is not "safe". Not even with circuit breakers. You may have GFCI, still you should not be touching live wires.

@pavel @ptesarik @klausman Everybody in this thread knows this.
We of course all lick the loose ends like our grand ancestors did.

@phoenix @pavel @klausman As I woke up this morning, let me add something just in case the thread is found by somebody who does not understand the jokes. No, even if nobody ever touches an open wire, it's not safe. It may leak current. A circuit breaker tolerates larger currents than rated for, especially if the current grows slowly. But electric current generates heat, you know… In short, even if nobody is electrocuted, an open wire can still start a fire!

@ptesarik @klausman The fact that the left metal thingie is loose and just drops out when you open the plug is also very assuring.
