@drewdevault please do. But kindly reinstate Vaxry in the FreeDesktop Gitlab. The two are very separate matters.

@drewdevault Hopefully, this action will trigger more bans and blocks and exclusions of that toxic community. I'm sad to see that Vaxry has not improved in response to earlier push-back. He has certainly been given plenty of chances.

The blog post he published is vile. He displays a total willful ignorance to the idea that his behaviour as an individual will and should be associated with the Hyprland project.

No, but I do believe, that while discussing technical problems, an adult should be able to cooperate with anybody of any persuasion. Do I care whether the author of my window manager is gay, trans-activist, Nazi, or Rashist? Do I care what are the political opinions of Brendan Eich (https://is.gd/m9D2fc)? I don’t.

I really think that these crusades against anybody, who doesn’t conform with my opinions, is a sign of immaturity and uncertainty.

I haven’t said that. What I said was that my wife’s grandfather (who was an actual Auschwitz survivor) did work in his professional capacity as a health officer with many people who didn’t like him (pre- and post-War). What I found immature is to push a need to be accepted to the professional relationships where it doesn’t belong. And of course, pushing anti-*ism to professional relationships is even worse (I did say that vaxry_ was out of line).

1. I am not moving goal posts. I believe I work quite well even with people who I disagree with on political topics (sometimes quite wildly, I work with some Russians, who are not disgusted by their regime), and that is all I was talking about.

2. He was used only for an example of my point, are you aware of existence of examples?
