I see we're trotting out "the end of x86" again.

Alpha. SPARC. PowerPC. MIPS. PA-RISC. Itanium.

Only an absolute idiot would predict the end of x86 because a few ARM laptops have better battery life.

@oleksandr @thomholwerda I predict end of x86. It is misdesigned, and these days, it starts to matter, as technology does not advance that rapidly. Plus, Intel + AMD have duopoly, thus innovation is limited. It will take 20 years, maybe. I hope risc-v wins, not Arm, but I'd say 75% chance x86 is not "it".
