@jarkko I’m not the expert for that, but perhaps to stop screensaver from activating when you’re in a video call (and otherwise inactive)?

was not something i was suspicious, just was wondering why is it required :-) does wayland still use xscreensaver? my desktop knowledge is lacking..

@jarkko libXScrnSaver is not XScreenSaver. It's not even used by XScreenSaver.
