Well... I think this might be the end of my ... I have been noticing unreliable charging for a few days or so, and now when charging the charge port and cable get VERY HOT to the touch in under a second... I presume something in the connector is shorted.

Still works "fine" with 40% or wait, 37% ... no 35% battery ...

I guess I could maybe charge the battery with an external charger?

Seems like a pocketfire waiting to happen, though :(

@vagrantc Charging with external charger should be reasonably easy. I have two chinese "clip-on usb li-ion chargers". Or maybe get non-broken pinephone :-).
