@hexmasteen @bencc @noybeu If the European Data Protection Board rules against pay or consent, watch websites put up a hard paywall for visitors with IP addresses in Union member states.
@PinoBatch The EU as a market is too relevant for many companies to boycott. And as with other privacy-preserving legislation other countries hopefully follow.
Another thought: was it ever legally confirmed, that blocking the IP ranges of the ISPs in a country is considered not doing business there?
And are the rules even depending on the location of the data subject or is every EU-citizen protected no matter where she currently resides?
