@ljs They are pretty decent, actually. When I buy elextronics, I buy from them more often than from others. Not because their shop is near the place where I live, but also because the prices are often better than anywhere else, and when I had to return faulty DIMMs twice, they handled that with no issues.

@oleksandr @ljs i think they're also known for having been a target of Microsoft/BSA "anti-piracy" bullying campaign in 2000s, to which they responded by replacing Windows with Linux on the PCs they sold

@ljs @oleksandr note the wikipedia article suggests it's actually been the other way around.
Mironet first decided to end their OEM volume licensing deal with MS and ship PCs with Linux by default. Then at some point MS retaliated and asserted they're installing Windows illegally and the police did a raid which harmed Mironet significantly, but didn't prove any wrongdoing (found some unregistered shareware tho!).

(IIRC at the time mironet were selling higher quality workstations, quiet PCs. not sure if they specialized in it.)
