How do you fix scratches on your plastic lenses ?

I'm tempted to put a drop of liquid super glue and then polish it off.

Dumb idea?

@dcz Sounds to me like a quick way to get new camera :-).

@dcz Which phone? For some phones you could change the back plate for cheap. The plastic cover over the camera is often part of the back plate. The process is often not the easiest though.

If the phone is a you might be able to replace the camera module?

I am a bit skeptical about the glue idea, but if the alternative is blurry photos anyway why not give it a shot? 😆

@isyourbrainFOSS It's a cheap, but nevertheless sufficient, action camera. I don't think I can get a standalone lens, it would cost more than the entire device. And I don't like to throw out working things.

@dcz super glue may aggressively dissolve the plastic and ruin the not scratched area, I’d be cautious. Don’t know a good approach, though, following this thread out of curiosity

@psentee Maybe clear nail polish would be better.
