did you know that libreoffice impress 24.2.6.2 cannot recognize a second display when running natively on wayland? so you can't get the presenter console? well good that i checked that before tomorrow?

solution is of course "unset WAYLAND_DISPLAY" or otherwise forcing it through xwayland ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Wow that sucks. Good thing you checked!

I just checked my LibreOffice Impress v 24.8.0.3 on Cinnamon (in LMDE6) with two displays and the presenter console works great!

Can you upgrade to this version?

@johnlogic aha, 24.8 is only available in debian experimental, maybe a bit risky before tomorrow, but will check after, thanks

also, with the help of the hotel room TV that has HDMI in, i figured out that i have to use SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt6, it just doesn't work with gtk3

@mntmn @grimmware HedgeDoc works really nicely for that purpose (that's what we used for 37C3) :)

@mntmn @grimmware You should take a look into magicpoint before you start doing your own presentation program.
