@rop my personal expectation is that China does not attack Taiwan at least as long as they have not caught up in terms of modern semiconductor processes and a lot of their industry depends on Taiwanese chips. I don't think "clean room" and "war" mix well together. And even if the fabs are unharmed from direct hits, there's the danger of "scorched earth" tactics...
