@radxa developer decided to try *BSD on C6: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-arm&m=173726172017749

Firmware issues all the way. Why no one ran FWTS does not surprise me when I see kernel logs as screenshots.

@hrw @radxa Are there any sources published for the bootloader and their kernel fork or are they still just pointing people to Debian images?

Looks like I was a fool to think Iā€™d get a working Arm v9 machine anytime soon. -_-

@jevinskie @radxa They plan to release edk2 and Linux 6.1 kernel sources next week.

https://forum.radxa.com/t/orion-o6-debug-party-invitation/25054/199

In meantime they provide own Debian based images with their 6.1 kernel in binary form + some binary only packages to make use of Mali graphics, NPU etc.

You can boot Debian with 6.11+ kernel and use PCIe GPU.

Sooner or later things may get better.

@hrw @jevinskie @radxa Withholding sources then throwing out a party is not cool :-(.

@pavel @jevinskie @hrw

Sorry we know it's not cool, but the release time is set by Cix. We need to wait for them to complete the code compliance review.

@radxa @jevinskie @hrw You should not be releasing binaries before you are sure you can release sources.
