@tbernard Stop with the 'sensors / optics don't have to be big'. The fact you have outsourced your photography doesn't mean physics don't apply for the rest of us ;) The camera is like 90% of the utility of that device from hell for me.

@jimmac Not sure I buy that it's because of physics anymore, when Google just shipped the same camera for 5 years and nobody complained, because it's all software anyway...

My completely unscientific hot take is that the huge camera bumps are mostly a camera quality placebo and a way to upsell people on the more expensive phones.

@tbernard That sensor will be tiny. You can do a lot with computational photography but at that point you're asking for a prompt.

@tbernard @jimmac Physical size of lens matters when you are shooting in low-light conditions. Sensor size matters a lot, too. There are good reasons why iPhone can't take photos with iso 128000...
