@cadey the usual. When you try to be "above politics" to try to not rock the boat, you end up alienating everyone who does care about politics, and that's usually a large and vocal chunk of people.

@monsieuricon that was only part of the problem, and not the ugliest part imho.
the ugliest was the usual us'ian story: there were people refusing to participate in lynching and trying instead to tread carefully and keep to facts; and as it's in us'ian tradition, they were lynched with the perpetrator because the mob stopped caring for justice and wanted blood.
