@machine501 beautiful. i always wanted to run pico8 rons on my bittboys. but, well. i never got why the community supports pico8 instead of tic80 which is free software and can be compiled anywhere

@machine501 pico8 invented the thing and their implementation is clearly more robust and have more people writing games/apps/demos.. but to me it feels wrong that such stuff is not free software, or at least opensource.. being able to run all those amazing roms in more places would be amazing! i'm also tired of waiting for an official iOS app.. if all that community were around tic80 we would be probably there already

@pancake @machine501 I searched for open-source pico8 implementations, and there are some. You may want to take a look.

@pancake ya, I first ever heard of the pico8. and only much later did I hear about tic80 - not sure why. probably just crowd noise and I also do not seek out fantasy consoles intentionally - more like a fun thing I see pass by my timeline so that's probably the same for many people.

@machine501 oh! I just tried latest miyoo build and turns out it ships retroarch with the fake8 core! So I can finally run those carts in my bittboys! Last time i tried it wasnt starting with the standalone emulator
