@fell I do, they work for me, it's a Dream Machines DM1 Pro S. Also a Logitech MX Master 3 at work (where I also use linux)
they *should* usually work if they're implemented in generic button-like ways according to the USB HID spec. If they require specific proprietary windows-only drivers and/or an application it might be harder.

@fell yes and yes, always have - Logitech M705 (Gen 1)
Also the horizontal scroll buttons and even the eighth button, tho that doesn't have a default mapping and I didn't map it to anything

@fell I have a Logitech g502 where the side buttons work fine when left k default (which i believe is 'forward/back') but when I change the mouses onboard profile to a modifier key such as ctrl/shift/alt or something similar it does not work
I know it's accepting the profile because it functions as expected with regular keys like letters and numbers

@Luissen I have the same one. It must be related to the logitech software then. I tried setting new profiles with a tool called `ratbag` but it didn't fix the 4th and 5th buttons it seems.

Yes, Arch, Wayland, Plasma with a Logitech G903.
I seen to remember that the buttons were reversed or not mapped correctly be default. But that I also had the same issues in Windows.

@fell What distro are you using? apparently this was a known issue for this specific mouse 3+ years ago with kernel 5.x, on the arch forum they're suggesting to blacklist the driver maybe https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=248898&p=2

@anthropy I'm using Arch (btw). I believe there is something wrong with the profiles stored on the mouse itself. I used `ratbagctl` to do it and there may be a bug (or user error).
I think the latest official Logitech software for Windows (G Hub) doesn't let me access those profiles anymore because Logitech wants you to run a daemon in the background to handle your mouse buttons instead.
I'm sure I can find an old version somewhere which lets me configure the profiles properly.
