@gregkh So there will be no 6.15.1 today, because you're busy with Secruty?
Will that be 2025's Coveve?
@gregkh Nice to meet you… uhhh… Secruty…? That a family name or something? /silly
@gregkh It's the well known OSS triangle. You can have two out of Open, Source and Security but you cannot have all three.
@gregkh Yes, very fitting. Starting with the obvious typo and the completely deranged changing font sizes.
Fun fact: the SFF (Special Frontier Force) is an Indian SOF unit made up primarily of Tibetan exiles and Gurkha soldiers.
It was raised with the help of the CIA to fight the Chinese after the war of 1962.
Among the toughest and most skilful high-altitude warriors in the business.
@gregkh I believe they changed it from Comic Sans to this font in the last second.
@gregkh They should have use a smaller font. (And a spellingchecker)
@gregkh funny, if you read it fast it still sound like the original word
@gregkh even the abbreviation... how hard can it be?????
@gregkh Do they plan any t-shirt of Open Source Secretions ?
I would love having one.
@gregkh it's more efficient than writing out 'secretary of security'. It was this, or a smaller font.
Reminds me of my very first coding gig in the mid 80s (where I began never having touched a computer before) rescuing data for a NASA conference.
The last hurdle was centering name tags in Helvetica, not having previously been conscious of proportionally-spaced fonts. I believe I built a table of experimentally-determined character widths. No kerning. Only sorta worked. But that was almost HALF A CENTURY AGO.
@gregkh Wao, i hope the organizers were at least a little ashamed making such mistakes.
