@DemocracyMattersALot And sorry to say, but expecting companies to protect your citizen’s rights is also a form of cowardice.

You didn’t spend enough efforts on legislation these companies could use to fight a tyrannical government. Because of course they’re going to fold if they can’t fight in court and get their money back or fine the government. They would lose their business.

You’re just moving the goalposts.

@DemocracyMattersALot Even greater problem is that when Apple removes app from its app store, you can no longer install / use that app. It is your phone, not Apple's, they should not have that option.

Sorta like when Amazon pulls back books you "bought". for your Kindle.

Or movies you "bought" on a streaming service become unavailable because the streaming service no longer has a content contract for that title.

@ferricoxide @DemocracyMattersALot Yeah. Monopoly protections should kick in both cases. (And likely fraud protections, too: it is not sale when they can delete "your" books.)
