As a follow-up to the yesterday post — we’ve got C-PHY mode working on Qualcomm devices!

Yesterday, Petr Hodina and I managed to get the main camera running on the OnePlus 6 / 6T (Sony IMX519 sensor) — a huge step forward for mainline main camera support on many modern devices 🎉

You can check out the current progress and changes here (not yet mainline-ready, tested with 6.16+):

@okias #oneplus6 Wow, this is quite big news! :-). #librem5 should have best supported camera, these days, and oneplus 6 is generation (or two) ahead, so this should be interesting.

@okias how does it compare to the two cameras already working on ? why are there two cameras on the rear?

@okias @nekocwd David is asking for libcamera autofocus. I believe you have newest version :-). I played with PDAF on Librem 5, but that's clicks machine -- https://gitlab.com/tui/tui/-/tree/master/ccam?ref_type=heads .

@okias @pi_crew I still don't fully understand... Do both cameras on back have same focal length?

@ondrejkolin @okias It can be translated as "OnePlus 6 is now best phone to play with cameras on" or maybe "Pavel now needs to install PostmarketOS" :-).
