The news from Rebble sucks :-( I've cancelled my Pebble Time 2 preorder and am going to make sure I have backup copies of all the watch apps/faces I use.

I might also finally get around to developing a charging stand for my watches, making sure none of them get too much or too little charge.

@brett I don't watch Pebble closely, but there's an open-source smartwatch with always-on screen... Bangle.js2. I'm not doing C development on it, but there's quite a lot of applications available, and port of Pebble software should not be impossible. It has just one physical button.
