OBS (Opensuse Build Service) allows to create accounts. And disallows to change passwords. Or at least it looks that way here.

I created an account, logged in one browser and had generated password only in clipboard. And overrode it so could not login in the right browser.

Well, happens - that's what 'forgot password' is for right?

Well, not here. It redirects me to https://idp-portal.suse.com/ service.

Which tells "A message containing a token has been sent to the user (if the user exists and is allowed to use this service)."

I did N attempts during last 30 minutes. None of those emails reached my mail server.

Registration mail arrived in less than a minute.

Which means, to me, that you are free to make OBS account. But you cannot forget password.

Fuck it. Not able to login:

"The username/password combination you entered is invalid. Please try again, or reset it from here."

OBS is Often Broken Software or sth like that...

@hrw IIRC @jarkko mentioned similar issues but with bugzilla? It's a shame...

@vbabka @hrw I love what SUSE is doing overall, I have many good friends at SUSE, and it's IMHO a great company, and that out of the way, SUSE's account systems suck badly ;-)
