@vbabka if the RAM prices get back to normal, you should probably revisit this and use your time to maintain other more useful features

@vbabka Sir, I appreciate that you used the char type for ratio, but it only works properly on some architectures. Arm char is in fact an unsigned type, so if you revisit the patch, please, please, make it a signed char. I assume it was always supposed to be signed, wasn't it?

@lkundrak I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as char, is in fact, GNU/char, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus char.
