Gnome no longer being the Gnome I knew (that's now called Mate)... And Debian left this clear misnomer (misgnomer) in.

@ondrejkolin Annoying, and it breaks social contract -- we are doing Free software, not Shareware. If I wanted to use annoying software, I can select Windows 11 or Android.

@pavel Gnome at least only sends you a message once. Bottles gave me a full on pop-up and has a permanent donate button in the title-bar.

@L_28 No doubts things could be worse than this. Android? Windows11? But I'm pretty sure I'll see that message more than once.

Free software should not do this, and distros should patch it out (or not ship that product in first place).
