got called weak by a guy for wanting to make more queens to checkmate him, which is a bold move coming from someone with only a king

(but yeah, i'm not great at spotting checkmates, so kinda valid)

the thing about computers is they don't trash talk you

and we can't really solve that with llms either, the trash talking wouldn't come from a real emotional place

(*please* don't add llms to chess programs though)

@ozzelot same energy as opponents in RL calling you a "tryhard" when they're losing.

like yeah of course I'm trying hard, that's why I'm winning, how is that even an insult lol

@bazkie
I went for a king and queen checkmate after his insult. He resigned after my first move in that direction, and several minutes of sitting there. :D (I thought it would end by him letting the clock run out/abandoning, so kudos for at least resigning.)
I mean, what are you gonna do, my guy, what are you gonna do.

I mean, when you're completely screwed, all you can really do is talk - but words are not on the board.

@ozzelot haha that's a beautiful quote! that's it, some people can't stand losing so much that they can't keep their emotions to themselves.. sign of low EQ tbh

@bazkie
I can understand pros getting emotional in top-level tournaments, where stakes are high and rivalries are fierce... but man, we're two random beginners on the internet, that's space for being chill. :D

@ozzelot Ja na sachach vidim jeste jeden "problem". Kdyz pocitac "prohrava" tak to "vzda", i kdyz by me klidne mohl porazit. To, ze "nema sanci" vidi on, ale kdyz ja to nevidim, tak ma cenu pockat si az udelam chybu...
