@oleksandr why didn't you catch this during rc stabilization?

@vbabka and why didn't @oleksandr join existing discussions about problems caused by the commit, one of which where I CCed Linus today:

https://lore.kernel.org/linux-input/?q=0a3fe972a* (EDIT: add the "*" to the link if it's removed)

@vbabka I don't run -rcs and -stables, too risky.

@oleksandr I understand wrt -stables. But for not running -rcs, boo! How can they (and the final release) get less risky if even skilled people like you don't run them?

@vbabka I tend to run the same kernels across the fleet I manage, including my wife's laptop. Do you want her to run -rc as well?

@oleksandr @vbabka Vlasta wants everyone to suffer. Me, you, our wives, our friends, everyone. He thinks it's more fun that way. I don't have a good argument why it isn't. :-(

@liskin What's even more disgusting, he's being paid for that! What else would you expect from the organisation with a reptiloid on its logo.

@oleksandr @liskin it's nonsense, I wouldn't recommend anything bad! The -rc kernels simply do WORKSFORME.

@kernellogger @oleksandr actually his biggest mistake was trying out 7.0 and not waiting for 7.1 for the upgrade as all the smart people do.

@vbabka @oleksandr @liskin Maybe mm-new is a better suggestion if they need more stability.

@vbabka @oleksandr @liskin tbh, I use -rc kernels and they work quite well for me, even on the desktop where I do gaming/multimedia stuff.

@oleksandr @vbabka @brauner your grandma is PEBCAK. It started segfaulting but after host downgrade to 6.18, all is fine

@piggo My grandma doesn't use Docker, she's normal.

@ffmancera I cherry-pick fixes from -rc kernels manually, am I artisanal?

@oleksandr @vbabka @liskin I understand you do that on your job.. But do you do that for your own kernels too?
