Seeing "Keep Android Open" posts every day. Why do people keep begging big corps to do something nice?

Their goal is profit. Openness doesn't make Google money.

We should fight for something better instead of begging to have shitty and slow system which is not competitive to real Linux ™ or iOS.

We can have better software on OUR phones.

@okias We should actually do both. Google When corporations abuse their power, we need to speak up. We also need to develop alternatives.

There's real alternative to Windows. That is good, but we should still protest when company abuses its power. Same with Mac OS X. And same with RedHat, for example.

@benhenderson looking forward to Jolla putting effort and using mainline kernel. Maybe it happen one day. Then I can buy Jolla and install BengalOS, Arch, openSuSE or whatever I want. The Jolla isn't there yet.

@valhalla @okias But what are you missing when you use a OnePlus6T with Nura&Phosh? Is the camera to bad for your needs? Everything else (Calls, Wifi, Desktop-Signal, Sms, Email, GPS etc.) just works for me...
