Today I'm very happy that I spent 3 very painful weeks last year converting all of our PHP-driven wikis to static content.

@monsieuricon I can relate ... the pre-2002 LWN site was PHP and stayed PHP for a fair while, but I made it all static a while back. The .php URLs remain (didn't want to break them) but there's no PHP on the server...I'm curious to see how many attack attempts we get.

@monsieuricon looks at wiki.yoctoproject.org and decides it's time to talk to everyone about this again. The kernel moved to something like sphinx-in-github, right?

@ross not necessarily github, it was just one of the easy migration options. But yes, readthedocs-style static sites.
