@mntmn @holo_memory Reading about 2.7V discharge problem.... If you got your cells to 2.7V, there's already failure somewhere. You really should not be going below 3.0V (or 3.3V, really).

And yes, you can probably charge the cell. Or it can catch fire. The probability of catching fire will be higher if the cell voltage is lower.

@pavel @holo_memory but cells won't hold 3v forever on the shelf due to self discharge, right?

@pavel @holo_memory in any case, the cells we include have their own UVLO built in

@mntmn @holo_memory You probably should hold cells at 4.0V (15C) or so for storage, and they should pretty much hold that storage on shelf for two years or more. You should not really store the cells for more than few months.

if your cells have built-in protections, that may change things, but those should not ever get to 2.7V, either.

@pavel @holo_memory well, i don't have control over the charge state at which people store their stuff

@khm @holo_memory @mntmn I assumed Li-ion cells. Do you use LiFePO?

@pavel @khm @holo_memory LiIon on the pocket reform. there's a bunch of confusion in this thread.
