@Wendinope Just curious what is the reasoning behind requiring postmarket os? I’ve been daily driving an FLX1 from Furilabs and pretty impressed with all it can do.
@Wendinope - maybe the FLX1 would work for your checklist - https://furilabs.com/
@Wendinope Awesome that y'all are trying this! For camera *and* calling I would recommend the Google Pixel 3a (https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Google_Pixel_3a_(google-sargo)).
From what you said it sounds like your calling issue is VoLTE related, which recently got fixed with the 3a. The camera also started working recently, so that is probably perfect for y'all.
That said, you probably already know this but the calling and camera probably won't be perfect, so if y'all care about that then just check you care about works irl.
@Wendinope I see, yeah I think it is all about trade offs, and right now for me the FLX1 is hitting the right balance. But I actually have a used P3a in a drawer, given all the recent progress they’ve been making, I might give pmOS a spin soon.
@Wendinope I am pretty sure the partial label is only because of volte. Might be something else though? I am not a 3a maintainer.
@Wendinope I don't know if you've heard this or not, but if not, postmarketOS is working on systemd support.
@Wendinope It seems the last update was https://social.treehouse.systems/@pabloyoyoista/112837067356079812.
@Wendinope @justsoup I picked up a Pixel 3A when camera support got added. It's awesome that it works, but it's nowhere near the quality you get in Android yet. I couldn't get autofocus to work so the pictures were only in focus a few inches from the camera. It looks like the camera had some stuck pixels that were always bright green. Exposure was also lacking. I will update to the latest edge and see if anything's changed there.
@Wendinope @justsoup Here are two sample photos taken with the Snapshot app on up to date pmOS Edge:
