Why RISC-V is unique for AI
That's the quality of RISC-V marketing here. Not Good.
Like tell me what's the advantage of sharing the ISA between host and device really?

@never_released and this is the kind of stuff that really ends up biting the software people: they think they're going to have this broad portability between systems, but it's just complete nonsense.
It's really best to just ignore everything that comes from the RISC-V foundation. At best it'll just drive you crazy...

SpacemiT K3 SoC has 16 cores. Eight of then are RVA23, the other eight are not as they are AI cores.
If you boot vendor kernel, you can run Linux binaries on one set or another.
And when you boot mainline then those eight AI cores are just waste of silicon. One day they will get a driver to be used as NPU or something. Which could be run on CPU cores as well.
